Matthew Knight

Matthew Knight is an independent strategist, and founder of The Independency Co.

For ten years, he's been a vocal advocate for freelancers and improved ways of working with independent workers.

Founder of the award-winning Leapers project — supporting over 250,000 freelancers — and chair of the Independency Community Coalition, representing 12 UK freelancing communities and over 15,000 members, he writes regularly on independent work and has featured in Freelancing Magazine, Design Week, Creative Boom, The Guardian, Bloomberg, Courier, Future Trends and the BBC.

He is a member of the Mental Health at Work Leadership Council, and has contributed to government panels and parliamentary roundtables on independent work and freelancer wellbeing.
